Fall Announcements!

The fall children's book season is upon us and I had the distinct honor of illustrating the announcements cover for Publisher's Weekly.

My editor, Neal Porter, likes to kick it Old School. Our new book, Little Tug, has a cloth spine and the cover is paper over board.

Publisher Neal Porter and I unveiled our new picture book, LITTLE TUG, at Book Expo in New York City today. It hits bookstore shelves in October.

International Reading Association Award

When my editor David Saylor and I set out to create WHERE'S WALRUS?, we worried about the response from librarians and educators. Would a wordless book be welcomed into the classroom? The response has been an overwhelming 'yes'! This month, we proudly accepted the IRA's Primary Fiction Award at their annual conference in Chicago.
